A small aquarium with much potential and very helpful staff. Worth a visit if you are passing cos the fish are lovely. Free entry!Nice marina.Visit the Blue Marlin for lunch too .

Went there years ago when it first opened. They had a hot fingered octopus who spotted one of the children eating at 2 meters away. Out came a tentacle at the speed of light and lo! Cant describe all that was wrong with it in this but suffice to say that when a large green turtle is kept in a tank just as wide as its fins!! enough said. Discrace.

As a country that has such a great maritime heritage, and an on-going relationship with the sea and it's fish, it is a shame that, at the time I visited, the exhibits were either not there or a poor example.
Oman thrives on it's fishermen's endeavours, it is a shame that this exhibit does not show off the vast variety...

You can find better aquariums at a pet shop. Only open when staff can be bothered.

We were quite disappointed with our visit here. This isn't really worth calling an aquarium. It's a very small collection of fish tanks and sea shells that takes only about 10 minutes to look through. Thankfully it's free, but there really isn't very much to see here.

The aquarium if free to attend and adjacent to the Bandar Ar Rawdah marina, so you can combine it with a dolphin watching trip or snorkelling.
