The fort is very interesting to look around and is in a stunning location with panoramic views. You can visit the surrounding grounds without going into the fort and there's also the jetty. Excellent value for money as you get free entry into the fort for 12 months after your visit.

Brilliant place with amazing walks and views. Very interesting inside the Fort with things for all ages to enjoy. Take a picnic to eat on the grass with the lovely sea views or eat in the Nothe.

So much to see, so much history to experience and marvel at with great views across the bay. A bit of a walk from the beautiful port or park nearby. A must if you are in the area and its not only the kids who count the mice and get a certificate from GNR R.O.Dent ! The cafe is basic... More

Brilliant day out, kids loved it, went with a 2 year old a 6 year old and a 10 year old, they loved it especially the mice spotting! The restaurant serves authentic style wartime food! Great bit of history and fantastic views over the beach.

This is an outstanding attraction, with so much to see and do. Tremendous variety and a lovely location. Having got a taste for it, I'll definitely be returning. Well done to all the volunteers that rescued this important historic site.

Nothe Fort is run by volunteers, and is steeped in history. The gardens are lovely, and plenty to see in the fort. The Fort has a resident ghost, and we were told to look out for it. We didn't see it of course, but we did encouter a family run towards us insisting a door that didn't exist had slammed... More

We spent a couple of hours here. So much to see and do. Great for historians. The view once you got to the top was stunning. Me and my husband loved walking around and seeing the view, wheras my children done the mouse spotting. Great for all ages. Staff are very friendly. Recommend this to all families.

One of Dorset's best kept secrets.although if it keeps getting 5 stars soon it will get onto the tourist must see places. Its a great place for a wander around and the views acros the bay are fantastic which is why it was chosen to be one of the 2013 Olympic sites top watch the water events from . Children... More
