Spent many happy hours here either at shows, dancing or just admiring the fireworks display on the water. Can be a restful place
Community deserve to succeed. Best coffee and cake in Weymouth, and lovely staff and great value for money. Hope it succeeds. Amazed council shut this down and Tourist Information down, how can they seriously expect to attract visitors without a Theater and more importantly a Tourist information centre.. The staff are so friendly and helpful and this is gateway to... More
Well done to the people of Weymouth for getting together to save this resource they have just opened again after the council closed it, there are plenty of activities planned and their cafe was very welcome retreat when we got caught in the rain, very friendly good luck for the future
Visited the Pavilion two weeks ago and found a host of compliant's from the staff about the management, unpaid hours, under paid for what they were originally told, a degree of aloofness from the proprietor.
Had a fantastic time at the Pavilion on the Open day a couple of weeks ago. It was amazing to see behind the scenes and to see how it feels from the stage. Well done it was a super afternoon. Had a lovely cup of tea with a nice and fresh sandwich - very reasonably priced too.... Keep it up.... More
Looked for the Tourism office there, as stated on the maps all along the beach - to find it has been closed. But the people who have taken it over, to rejuvinate and breathe new life into it, were helpful beyond the call. Every town needs some enthusiastic, energised, people-people. And you'll find Weymouth's at the Pavilion
The Pavillion is a theatre and a tourist information centre too. There is a bar and they sell a range of snacks etc. We sat outside there a few times with a cold beer which was very nice. The theatres listings were a bit random but it's a nice place.
What are Weymouth council thinking closing the pavilion. It's open again run by volunteers and a few paid workers. Having tried their lunch menu it won't be beaten on price anywhere. While the food was basic it was just right for the price we paid. Hands up to Weymouth folk reopen inch the pavilion.
Interesting look 'behind the curtain' at a much loved venue. Great place. See a great local shows.. Support if you can..
