I went with children and Grandpa - all enjoyed themselves. Very atmospheric, staff really helpful and friendly, and the journey through the Somerset countryside was gorgeous. Highly recommended!

We visited the railway with our daughter and son in law and two small grand children 10 mnths and 2 years, the staff could not have been more helpful to us as we caused chaos with our buggies and bags...... this is a not to be missed attraction, especially when you are welcomed and helped by some lovely people, a...

Best (& possibly longest) private railway in the UK. Lots of places to visit along the line, particularly the quaint Watchet - an ancient port. Pretty stations.
We recently visited the railway, as part of my Dad's Birthday celebrations. We had a wonderful day out- the trains and Stations were beautifully restored (it was like stepping back in time) and we loved the places they took us to.
All of the staff were so friendly and helpful- with special thanks to Ron, the Station Master at Dunster,...

We all boarded at Bishops Lydeard for a return trip to Minehead, the staff were engaging with us all....especially the two young us. There are lots of lovely stops on-route to Minehead for country walks or a bite to eat. After advice from the train conductor we decided to disembark at Blue Anchor for lunch rather than Minehead. There is...

a very enjoyable journey through very picturesque countryside and regular stops at some lovely old stations. The steam train is a lovely experience. not cheap but its worth the ride i think.
Lovely to meet such friendly enthusiasts who work so hard to retain the railway of a bygone age for the benefit of future generations to experience.
Steam train journey which took me back to my childhood days and trips to the coast from London on the steam trains.
This is a lovely ride through beautiful countryside, stopping at some interesting towns. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. It is situated near the seafront, and has much rolling stock including steam and diesel locomotives. The scenery is beautiful and the towns & villages en route pretty and interesting.
