The Wolsey is a lovely little theatre. I have been there many times and can honestly say that due to the size and layout you get a fabulous view wherever you sit. Which is excellent for those of us on a tight budget :o). Excellent range of productions. Good shows, comfortable seats, good prices, well stocked bar, what more can... More

Always excellent entertainment, even for the ones who are far too young to ever have known that period of music. It just shows how excellent a music period Rock and Roll was (and still is) More

My family and I went to see Beddroom Farce last week and it's one of the most funniest shows we've ever seen. We were sitting in the second row so it gave us a real intimate feel to the performance. The cast played their roles perfectly and there wasn't a dull moment. Already we want to go again. As far... More

The New Wolsey is one of the brightest spots in Ipswich - a great place to watch a range of professional theatre (traditional, physical, musical, fringe, and more and more and more), with a few quality amateur productions too. Decent prices and great views from wherever you prefer to sit - close in or from the back. Super, comfortable facilities... More

The New Wolsey Theatre is the best venue for plays in Ipswich. The box office staff are excellent in accommodating your request especially for disabled theatre goers. You are able to see the stage anywhere in the auditorium, no blocked views. Also a disabled person can get a companion in to see shows for a very reasonable price unlike other... More

We have been to lots of shows over the years - Rock'n'Roll panto several times, more recently 20th Century Boy, Reasons to be Cheerful and we always enjoy it. We've not just been to musicals but to plays as well, just the old memory fades a bit these days and can't remember titles. But whatever we have seen has been... More

We went to see Waiting for Godot at the New Wolsey Theatre and it was a great night out! I have lived in Ipswich all my life and the New Wolsey Theatre has always been overlooked by other venues such as The Corn Exchange and The Regent. I have been to the other two venues before and this was my... More
