Very nice to learn and understand the history of the great Nidaros Domkirke. There are pieces of the original church and a miniature showing how the church began on viking age and how it grew bigger during time. Also check the royal jewerly.

I had too little time here, it closes at 2 pm. I loved to see some of the original statues and figures (partly destroyed) from Nidarosdomen up close. Also the models of Erkebispegården from several ages.

The palace (or rather residence) and especially the museum gives a first-rate documentation of its dramatic history, which collegates to Norway's history.

I did like the history of the church in the museum here. The mint that was discovered was also a highlight. Definately worth seeing if going to Nidaros.
