It costs six euro to get in, but that's because they are renovating. At first, you might be disappointed that you can't see the frescoes on the cupola, but wait. Take the elevator on the right, and you'll come out up close and personal with the ceiling. If you are brave and not afraid of heights, walk up the scaffolding... More

A beautiful building, beautiful location. It's a nice gem of a site, the interior is striking and more ... explosive than you might expect. It's really quite bright and striking and overwhelming. More

I realize that these old churches are very expensive to maintain and renovate so I always make a contribution, but I didn't think that this was worth 6 EUR per person when Peterskirche and other beautiful churches in Vienna merely ask for donations. Karlsplatz is nice as is the nearby Otto Wagner Pavilion. More

You can go up to the top of the paintings inside the church with a lift and stairs. It is so interesting to see how they painted the ceiling. More

The Church of St. Charles was ordered built by Emperor Charles VI in 1713, when Vienna was devastated by the plague. The Church was designed by Johann Bernard Fischer von Erlach and was finished in 1739. The facade has two triumphal columns similar to the Trajan Column in Rome. The high altar was designed by Fischer von Erlach. He put... More

I came here for the Vivaldi Concert which was wonderful (cold inside the church at night so dress warm). You can take photos and it's just so tastefully ornate. The area outside and this church lite up at night makes for dramatic photos. More

For a limited time, you can take an elevator and then a few more stairs to the top of the Karlskirche Cuppola, to take an up close and personal look at the frescoes at the top of the dome. This is a unique opportunity that will only last as long as they are doing the restoration and it is well... More

Although a beautiful piece of architecture it doesnt worth the money (6 € the normal ticket and 4 € for students) to visit the so called "museum" (only two small rooms, and if there were more rooms or something extra, nobody informed us) or even take the elevator. The elevator being transparent, it was a little scary and the stairs... More
