A beautiful new museum. great architecture. Rare paintings by Klimt. All floors have a window - great views of the interior. Nice cafeteria...
We absolutely loved the Leopold Museum. The show "Nakte Maenner was great. The Schiele collection is mind-blowing.
Although Leopold Museum is said to be the largest collection of modern Austrian art, I expected to see more works, especially of Klimt. Nevertheless, I loved the exhibition, they succeeded in revealing the atmosphere of fin de siecle in Austria and of showing the life of Secession artists of that time with their popularity and many tragic endings.
Yet another beautiful Viennese museum with light airy rooms. I particularly enjoyed the Jugendstil furniture. Cafe was a let-down, smoky and noisy.
The interior of the Leopold is spare, bright, yet warm. The Egon Schiele works and Klimt collections are worth the visit. We enjoyed it and found it completely charming. It was located in a really nice area together with MuMOK, and holds works of Schiele, Klimt and a bit of Kokoschka (not as many as I hoped for, unfortunately). There was the "clouds" exhibition when I visited in April 2013, and they even had the Silver Clouds installation by Andy Warhol which was really nice and fun to watch...

A wonderul museum of art - loved the Klimt but particularly enjoyed the Egon Schiele. Highly recommend this gallery to all art lovers
