You don't need a car to get to the Untersberg. Just get on the local bus and it will take you straight to the cable car. Magnificent views. Opportunities to walk from the top station. The day we went the mountain was socked in with fog yet amazingly after we enjoyed a nice lunch of wienerschnitzel at the top of the mountain the clouds parted and we got a nice view. We had been visiting the mountain on a sunny day, it was an amazing experience, the view is wonderful. Its worth a trip, altough the price is a big hight, 40 euro for 2 persons.

It was cold and we could see the whole city from the mountain along with the snow a very good place to see the whole of salzburg. It was snowing hence a little cloudly but the clouds did clear after a while.

What an experience brilliant the cable ride brilliant and when up there the views are terrific and are strongly recommended easy to get to take local bus from Salzburg bus no 25 and it drops you next to cable car ride highly recommended

Amazing expirence it was! I recommend to buy a salzburg card and go to the lift and the summit. There was still lot of snow in march and the view and walk was splendid.
