My grand daughter and I went to the Palace for an evening Mozart concert. It was in an elegant room and the music was wonderful. We were fortunate to have front row seats. They were not expensive. If you have the time, go. We also toured the gardens with flowers just coming into bloom and skipped around all the statues... More

If you've watched Sound of Music, you will recognize this palace and gardens. Though we didn't see much inside, the outside is beautiful and the gardens are a must see. We even found a small, intimate gnome garden that overlooks a park. It was so quite and comfortable, we didn't want to leave. More

Mirabell gardens ,with the statues, flowers greenery and the Palace in the back ground,A part of the Song Do Re me from the hollywood classic Sound of Music was shot in this garden. It is very central, walking distance from the river and their is a bus stand just outside it. All conducted tours start from near this garden. More

We visited The Mirabell Gardens on April 28, 2012 and this was our first visit to all places of interest in Salzburg. Its a beautiful Garden, supremely well maintained and a visual treat to the eyes. From the Gardens one can also have a look at the imposing Hohensalzburg Fortress. At one end is the Palacw which is however out... More

Unfortunately the Palace wasn't opened when we visited. But Seeing the outside gives you enough idea of the history etc. The gardens are beautiful. There were many ducks with their ducklings, even our teenage kids were excited to see them waddle in natural free surroundings. The white swans on the blue ponds were just gorgeous. More
