I went to Villach some weeks ago. The city is small, but nice and the mountains are beautiful. That time still was snow.
The connections between Ljubljana were very bad, but we took a shuttle offered by turanus.shuttles. We found them very friendly and having resonable price.

The Alpenstrasse is always a good target. Between 15.11-15.04. the entry is free. In March the restaurants were open, and since there was still snow, poeple used sled and ski to slide down. As it is part of the Naturpark Dobratsch- http://www.naturparkdobratsch.info-, we can find always something new. I'm sure we will come here regularly.

Villacher Alpenstrasse is close to Villach (Austria, Kärnten). This is a panorama road, you have to pay the fee at the entry, go up with your car. You will give you a map of the area, which shows where to stop, what to do, where are toilets and restaurants. They have many stop, where people can admire the view. We...
