The ski area is great and really in on a par now with the larger alpine areas. Lots of variety, efficient lifts, reasonable restaurants and good mountain access. All in all - fantastic!

I took a journey off and went to ski (not on this trip though, that was on january 2011). I was very impressed by the quality of the snow and how large the resort is. You never ski twice on the same sloap the same day if you dont want too. Excellent price of forfaits too, the cheapest in Europe...

In April snow melts during the day and then freezes at night. In the morning you have to ski carefully because in some shady places there are icy surfaces. Your skis must be sharp and in the best condition!
In the afternoon the snow is slightly melted which makes skiing slower and less comfortable. I think it is much better...

the resort is very nice. I'm not very lucky in being able to reach if it snows, as there are traffic issues from the hotel to the resort. I recommend a daily sky pass if you are not staying for long, a multiple one might not be used.

Wonderful area to ski. Plenty of choice for intermediates and above. Great ski lifts and fantastic views. You can ski all day and do different runs to do the following day. Stay in Soldeu if you are a beginner as the blues over that side are easier and simple to get to.
