We went to the Baths of Aphrodite on a rainy day in April but having read the reviews first we didn't expect much and therefore weren't disappointed. The 'Baths of Aphrodite' is at the end of the main road through Latchi/Latsi on the Akamas peninsular with lovely views looking back towards Pomos. There is a free car park and a... More

The review is mainly about the 7 kilometer walk that leaves from and returns to the Baths of Aphrodite. The Baths themselves are OK but nothing spectacular. The setting, on the other hand, is glorious. This hike requires one to be in excellent shape. Don't do it unless this is the case. It requires steep climbs and descents. Don't worry... More

We weren't sure what we were expecting - and the Falls themselves weren't as spectacular as we thought (although were free - which wouldn't occur in England!) - but after meeting Stavros, an sweet elderly gentleman who was visiting on his own - well, he made our visit. Stavros stopped to talk to say hello to us, but after making... More

At the end of the tarred road from Latchi to Akamas you find this small attraction in a scenic setting with a small perennial creek providing water for a dense vegetation. There is good parking nearby, and the site is wll cared for. This is a nice place starting point for a multitude of walks, either up the hillside or... More

The 'attraction' itself was disappointing and not worth the trip unless you are doing the walks or staying nearby. I overheard another visitor describe it as 'just a smelly pond' and they did have a point. If you make a special trip up from Paphos expecting some kind of spectacualr water feature you will be disappointed, although not so bad... More

HOW this got to be in the Lonely Planet for Cyprus?! Saw a random donkey - that was more interesting. Badly signposted. We got to a point, walk up steps or carry along path....we carried along path, thank goodness, right direction. A pool, water trickling in from the rocks. Now, leaving it, there is a driveway that goes down to... More

If you were expecting the remains of some kind of ancient bathing complex, you're in for a disappointment. The "baths" consist of a small pool set in a pleasant terraced garden. In itself, nothing to write about. But this is the starting point for excellent walks along the Akamas Peninsula. Set aside a day for the mainly flat walk to... More

No loos at the attraction itself but there is a tavern nearby. Our photos: http://s481.photobucket.com/albums/rr175/Nephthys_photos/Baths%20of%20Aphrodite/ This is at the end of the main road through Latchi (about 28 miles from Paphos). Views around here are spectacular. There are several Nature Trails, organised by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation & there’s a tavern near the start of the short walk to the... More
