When I lived in Iceland, this place was one of my favourite places to spend time in Rekjavík. Great pool with the spirit. You can go and swim a kilometer or two, spend some time in the hot water pool or go with your kids and play. All year round. Spend an hour or take your time.

The facilities are very clean and well orgainised by friendly competent staff. My first thought was that I must be barking mad to walk 300 metres wearing nothing but my swimming costume to have a swim, surely this is the coldest it can get! This complex has an olymipic size pool, a couple of leisure pool with slides and quite... More

You wouldnt find facilities like this in the UK. We paid 550ISK each which is approx £3.30 each entry to the pools. Separate mens and womens changing rooms. The changing rooms were spotless, not a drop of water on the floor. You must remove your shoes before entering the changing room then you must shower without wearing a swimming costume... More

Parents can chill in the hot pots while the kids play in the big pools. Remember to take the swimming gear off when you are taking the pre-bath shower, or the employees will come and correct you. And it is not allowed to take pictures in the pool or wardrobe area, so leave the camera behind.

I was not travelling with younger children but if I had been this would be a great place to spend a morning or afternoon. I still enjoyed this with my adult daughter. if you want a massage you need to make arrangements before you go.

Are you looking for authentic Icelandic experiences? Then start here, or at the Reykjavik Sundholle. I went to both, (same price for each, less than $5), and enjoyed them more than the Blue Lagoon (which is an overpriced tourist destination in my book). Laugardalslaug is huge, but not known to most tourists. Never mind, you will still be welcome. (remember... More

Locals make pools/hot-tubs a daily ritual. We went for a few hours. This one was recommended by Elin at our Hotel Lind. It was about 1/2 hour walk from the hotel. Cost about $5.00 US. They have a lap pool, a regular pool, and about 8-10 hot tubs, with varying temperatures. Chilly when out of the water, as this is... More

A lot of choice for swimming and hot pots with brand new womens changing rooms. The mens changing rooms are currently being updated so they are not to usual Icelandic standards. Indoor and outdoor olympic size pools and also fun pool with amazing slide and two little ones. Also other childrens toys about to play with including basketball hoop and... More

I just cannot say how fantastic we thought it was here. Paud 1100ISK for the two of us, which is about £6 at the time of writing. You can literally spend all day here if you are so inclined - we thought we'd just pop in and were there about 3 hours!! OK so it's a bit weird at first... More

Loved the waterslide - the kids spent hours on it. The hot tubs and the hot lagoon was beautiful at the end to warm us up. The water is lovely (no chlorine!) and warm and plenty for the kids to do - esp ones like ours (Aussie kids who love swimming!)!! Lovely modern facilities, warm showers. We just like a... More
