Walking distance from kauppatori, beautiful park spread over couple of small hills. 3 sides surrounded by sea. You can take bus 18 from centre. You can also go there by tram 3t and 3b.
I recommend Kaivopuisto at sunset, from up high. It's like being on top of the world.. or Finland at least. Beautiful scenery on a nice day.
Really nice park to have picnic. Rock concerts are also taken place here in summertime. Up from the cliff there are really beautiful sceneries.
A very nice neighborhood by the sea. Small shops, beautiful old houses. Parks, walks, nice routes for jogging and several nice cafes.
Kaivopuisto is a place for a walk or a jog in Helsinki. Or if you are in Helsinki on 1st of May, head there for a picnic with tens of thousands of others.
The finish are very educated people. They respect life in all forms. This city park has sun, grass, watter, boats, children playing and people happy.
This park has a lovely little playground and a big rock to climb on for the kids. Nicely situated at the tip of Helsinki.
Be sure to visit while you're in Helsinki! The views are great!
Old park , good view to open sea and Suomenlinna fortress island. Good place for picnics - or whatever legal. Beware semi-wild barnacle geese ! they are eating the grass - and leave their "marks". Free - no gates of fences around the rather large area.
