“Personal Place of a Great Artist”

This home, museum nowadays, is very nice. Located on a hill and built interestingly. There's artist's painting room with wide roof windows. Artifacts and skins from his Africa and other trips. Pay attention where the bath tub has been placed! Nice cafe within the premises of the museum. More

I have been in Helsinki maybe 8 or 10 times, and I always make the trip to the Gallen-Kallela house. There's a long tram journey, then a pleasant 2.5 km walk through a park and by the sea to get to the house. It's designed in the national-romantic style, and it's a fun peice of architecture.
