This was a fascinating find in Stockholm's Gamla Stan area. An informative and well-presented exhibition on the ground floor (all translated into English) tells the history of Sweden's postal service. Spacious and reasonably priced cafe with salad bar on the first floor. Shop and lockers on the ground floor. There was no entry fee.

I have to say, I didn't expect much when I came here, but was most pleasantly surprised! The exhibitions gives the visitor a tour through the postal history of Sweden, and it manages to cater for both childrens and adults without seeming to "play ground-y". The restaurant can also be recommended!

Apart from the collections and exhibits, there is lots to do for the children in the basement. The lunch restaruant is excellent and not so expensive and if you are lucky you can get some older stamp catalogues or books cheeap in the library, where they put outdated/surplus books for sale.

This is a nice little museum located in the thick of it; in the Old Town, striking distince to the cathedral, old palace, Riddarholmen and much more. I always enjoy the poster exhibition with themes, aesthetic and messages that will bring tears to your eyes (for one or the other reason). A really nice cafeteria/restaurant for the weary.
