I went to Stockholm 4 times and I would say that this place is the most beautiful one in Stockholm. The garden is amazing and the castle is wonderful. I recommend to get the boat in front of the City Hall,

We enjoyed the boat trip to reach the palace. The highlight of Drottningholm was the charming tour of the court theatre. This was far more entertaining than wandering through the vast rooms of the palace without any information in English to explain what we were seeing.

Its a very good choice for half day trip from Stockholm. Make sure that you go to Drootingholm with steam boat , which starts just under the city hall. The jurney to Drottingholm takes about an hour. Drottingholm palace is very big, courtyard is very beutiful , whit fountains and green paths, leading all the way to Chinese Pavilion.

Loved it and well worth a visit - we went by boat (you can catch it from the City Hall) which was the perfect way to arrive and you get to see more of Stockholm from the water.

Don’t miss the Drottningholm Palace Theatre (Swedish: Drottningholms slottsteater) - an opera house from 1766.
The best way of getting to Drottningholm is by boat from Klara Mälarstrand - City Hall jetty (Stadshusbron). The...
