Kronborg is known as Hamlet's Castle in all the bus tour pamphlets because Shakespeare set his classic tragedy here and called it Elsinore. And as you approach it from the parking lot and walk through the expansive courtyard, you do get a foreboding sense of drama and the echoes of the Bard's words. I decided to take a half-day tour...

Kronborg having such a steep history in war and fires didn't have a lot of original contents to highlight. A lot was "imagine this"... The site is beautiful regardless and my favorite part was the story of the statue of Holger Danske (Ogier the Dane) in the castle dungeons.

I like the info you get about every day life at the castle. The castle itself has a lot of history worth reading about and the place itself is impressive. The exhibition on danish trade and shipping is very informative and surprisingly grand!

Easy trip by train from Copenhagen and 15 minute walk from station.Include a look at the Chapel as...

One can spend a whole day looking at the exhibits of the ships in the maritime museum. The guided tours are a lot helpful as they explain to you the crucial parts of the...
