I visited the museum on the morning on the 28th of April, watching the firefighters doing the last part of their job following the night´s severe fire that will of course close the museum for quite some time. As I have previously written on the Copenhagen Travel Forum, it is unlikely that it will open until 2014 or later. I... More

a small, brief hotel with a clear focus on Denmark's experience during WWII. Took less than an hour so a quick one and then go shopping in the neighborhood or go see the little mermaid.

Very good historically and didn't ignore divisions in the country during WWII which would have been easier to do. Also liked how the focus took in all the country rather than focus on the capital - London could learn a bit from this

Yes, would have been lovely to see this, but just to confirm the previous reviewer's comment that the building is badly damaged by fire and the area is cordoned off as a police scene.

If you are going to or from the Little Mermaid then please do take the time to visit this historical gem which is on the way. A small but wonderful museum dedicated to the brave Danish resistance fighters during World War 2. It's free to go in and there are many informative exhibits. The exhibits that showed the photos of... More

This is a wonderful sometimes overlooked museum. To start, the museum is free and is on the way to the harbor and the Little Mermaid. The history of the people of Denmark during WWII is fascinating. Some collaborated with the Germans and a lot resisted the occupation. The exhibits are very well done. They show how people used the most... More

This was quite a small museum, but very interesting. They had some quite moving exhibits, such as last letters from members of the resistance who had been taken prisoner (translated into English)

This museum is one of the best of its type I have visited. Items and artefacts are well explained and give brilliant context to their significance. This is a fitting tribute to the brave Danes who gave their life during the second world war to free their country from Nazi tyranny. A must see and free too!

This is well worth planning in time for. It's free and very informative as I really didn't know much about the Danish involvement in the war at all. We actually happened to be there on the anniversary of the German invasion (April 9th) and they held a small silence to mark this while we were inside. The little mermaid statue... More
