Apparently this is one of the must sees in Copenhagen...trouble is its hard to see given that its so small. There's nothing else there and when we visited it was so cold that we took q picture and left..not that theres much else you could do. In all honesty, its a discredit to Hans Christien Anderson. Dont bother going out... More

The little mermaid is located north of the Kastellet, Copenhagen. It has been a famous tourist attraction for years. When people hear of Denmark it is always the little mermaid that first comes to mind. Located in a scenic place this beauty is always surrounded with people getting their photographs clicked. On a sunny and clear day one can see... More

I will always remember my first sighting of the little Mermaid. I had imagined her to be far out at sea, well at least with only a background drop of the sea and sky. So imagine my dissappointment when you stroll up to the spot where she sits and behind her a view of the working harbour and city landscape.... More

Little Mermaid is a bit far from the center of Copenhagen and it is worth of visiting mostly because of the symbolic meaning of her. Yes she is small, yes there are loads of tourist taking photos and kids trying to touch her, but she is still very peaceful and beautiful, so its a real shame if you are in... More

Being Copenhagen's most photographed attraction, it is worth a visit, even if the fuss about it is abit overhyped More

I've seen pictures of this and to see it in real life is really quiet beautiful and peaceful. We were thereon a beautiful day, the havens were beautiful and The Little Mermaid was right in the middle of it all. More

Its one of those things you have to do in a city. London has big Ben, new York the empire state. Well Copenhagen has the little mermaid, walk from the city is nice along the docks. That makes up for the final vision that she really is. Quite small, often groped by the tourists and a mass of people. More

...could be as entertaining as seeing this Copenhagen icon. Personally, I think visitors can get too close and, thus, it loses some of the aura I expected. On the other hand, just like Brussels and the Mannekin Pis, if you visit Copenhagen, you must see this statue. More
