A must visit area of Copenhagen! We loved the chilled atmosphere, you could have food in one of the many restaurants or you could just sit quay-side and eat a pic nic whilst drinking cheap 'take-away' beer from the restaurants/bars dottered along the harbour. We traveled in June and had fantastic weather! 22C/72F and sunny! Nyhavn has many outdoor restaurants all serving much of the same food. Had great mussels and fish and chips in a wonderful setting! Atmosphere was great with postcard views. Highly recommend.

We walked to Nyhavn to get a canal boat ride. The whole area was filled with people. Lots of Cafes and restaurants along this row of beautiful Danish buildings fronting the canal and its variety of boats. It is quite a sight and it gets very crowded.
