It was the perfect stop on Sunday afternoon when the Glyptotek has free admission. A coffee break is an essential part of the experience.

We enjoyed the Greek and Roman sculptures here, and took time to enjoy a small lunch in their wintergarden restaurant, where the soup is excellent.
pity the painting collection was closed, but still the visit was a very nice experience. it is very clean, well kept building which itself is worth a visit. large collection of statues from ancient times and much nicer to spend time with than in the crowded vatican museum. here is it peaceful and tiimeless and you have all the time...

Carl Jacobsen was one of the owners of the Carlsberg brewing company and a philanthropist and art collector. He donated the Little Mermaid statue that has become one of Copenhagen’s symbols and also gave the city this excellent art collection. It is well presented and well worth a visit.

Stopped in on Sunday when I had about an hour before heading to the airport. Didn't realize it was free on Sunday. Bonus for me. Displays are well spaced and organized. Building temperature was inconsistent so some viewing rooms were a bit uncomfortable. I liked that it had a combination of sculpture and canvas art pieces.
This could have been good except that the exhibits of French Impressionists were all closed until June. No advance notice of that anywhere. The building itself is nice but the rest of the exhibits were just okay.
worth visiting, though you cannot see pictures from Cezanne, VanGogh, etc due some works being help in the museum
The famouse beer, Carlsberg is behind this museum. The foundation that owns Carlsberg also build the marvel. With art exibition and lots of famouse artpieces in stock
I went to see the non-Danish art. This was non-existent aside from a Degas exhibition which creeped me out (was taught about him by a creepy male teacher whilst I was a 14 year old girl myself). The Danish and ancient art was wonderful.
