A nice place to visit to castle like building , from the late 19 century, that played a large part in the history of greek wine making. Some very old wines, in barrels, over 100 years old. Nice bar and ballroom, free wine tasting.

Very close to the city, yet within a beautiful forest and with an astonishing view! Nice wines available for tasting, and a great ballroom for events! Great city break out trip!

Into a nice scenery,
Guided tour of the old winery, with barrels containing sweet mavrodaphne wine dating from 1890.
Cosy bar, free mavrodaphne tasting, selling their own wines.
Visit can be combined with the nearby Glafkos hydroelectric plant. Tavernas with grilled meat can be found on the entrance.
