It was built around 1500 A.D. as a mosque with poorhouse and school. The name "Alaca" means colorful from the multi-colored walls of the minaret. (Only the base remains nowadays). Hidden among the apartment buildings of the city center. Interesting mosaics, and frescos inside. Now a place for staging cultural events.
