This is the biggest church in Thessaloniki and one of the biggest basilicas in Europe, devoted to the city's patron saint. It was built upon a roman church and was destroyed several times. Underneath of the church, lie the catacombs, where the first Christians met.Lovely place to visit. More

This is the biggest church in Thessaloniki and one of the biggest basilicas in Europe, devoted to the city's patron saint. It was built upon a roman church and was destroyed several times. Underneath of the church, lie the catacombs, where the first Christians met. I was married in this church and I will always remember the ceremony. More
