As you can imagine the statue doesn't exist anymore. But from there I would greatly recommend to take a walk towards Ixia, recently the Rhodes town council made a wide footpath (available also for bicycles), it is easy to follow just keep the sea on your right. A must see destination if you are visiting Rhodes.
Colossus of Rhodes was one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World which exsistance was never proven. As it is writen in some history books, it was around 30 meters high. There are several theories about the place where he stood. This is what I like the most:
