We didnt hike the entire way, but what we did was very pretty. The walk from Fira winds through the closely packed shopping areas nestled on the cliff side before a little uphill on less pleasant paths to Imerovigli. Imero is delightful and has a great atmosphere where wish we could have spent more time. There is a really neat... More

This tour is recommended to all who like walking tours. Only the beginning of the tour at the Thira town (ugly) is a bit poor, but you will arrive at the most beautiful village Ia. More

Oia was a big turquoise gem in Greece. We only had a few hours as we were only in port for the day. We took the city bus from Fira to Oia for 1.40E. The ride was pleasant and we were able to see the back side to the island. Once in Oia walk to the top and look down... More

I hiked only part of the way, Fira to Imerovigli. The path winds through towns and has scenic views of the cliffs. I also hiked some of the trails in Imerovigli onto the cliffs. Great way to break free from the tourist bustle and work up a sweat. You can stop in some of the towns along the way to... More

the hike is about 5 miles, and not difficult at all. we took our time and stopped in Imerovigli for lunch. the views are incredible, beyond belief. If it is hot in summer, best to go early in the morning and bring water to drink. we were lucky enough to have 2 dogs (eventually turned into a pack of 5... More

We walked the full distance from Fira to Oia and this really was the highlight of our trip. Be warned though that it is a decent walk - it took us 3 hours including photo stops, but we are generally fast walkers. You definitely need a good pair of walking shoes for parts as some of it is gravel on... More

We were staying in Imerovigli, and the path was just across our hotel. There is a distinguishable walking path which we used to Fira town. You will pass many restaurants, fancy hotels and traditional houses. The path up to Oia looked more steep and distant so gave it a skip. Distinct Memories: • Mule path going down to Fira Harbour... I think that Oia has the best golden sunset view in the world - a true earth haven that brings peace to your soul and mind. Oia is a stunning and wonderful town placed across the caldera mountain. It’s the perfect destination for people who are looking for an earth haven. The most well-liked spot to enjoy the sunset is by... More

Spectacular views. We like walking and it was inspirational and not very touristy. We only saw one other couple doing it. We can't understand why it is not advertised more in santorini itself. It's great. More

Santorini was gorgeous. Words are so hard to describe how beautiful a place this is. The turquoise water of the Mediterranean Sea is the backdrop to the white houses with their traditional blue roofs. More
