We went to cretaquarium with 2 young children, they were fascinated by the aquarium, sharks, different fish, crabs , jelly fish all beautifully shown in the aquarium, There is also a nice shop outside and a restaurant,the place is next to the sea, there is a free parking . More

beautiful fish. the place has got free wifi and is situated on a beautiful beach with great view. although 5 kms outside the city (in gournes about halfway between iraklio city and hersonissos) it is very worth your while especially if you like nature. the ticket price is rationally anot very cheap but not too expensive. Aquarium was fairly extensive & had a guided recorded tour in many languages with lots of additional details for 3 Euros. No blockbuster exhibit & several tanks were empty.
