if you have more time climb Filopappos Hill, there is nice view on Acropolis from one side, and on Pireus on the other side

We could not find the cable car anywhere and nobody seemed to know where it was and the Greeks couldn't understand us!!!! It is one heck of a walk to walk to the top - views are amazing and lovely church at the top - but find the cable car before you go - SO much quicker!!! We came down...

It's one of my favorite places in Athens - just go the the top of the hill near the monument and look on the city below - it's amazing! You can seat here in a sunny day and see the history breathes in front of you.
