A place to enjoy the nature. Wonderful natural park. The waterfalls are very beautiful, sometimes difficult to access. Many activities can be performed, like horse ridding, cycling or hiking trails. You you are lucky, you can see wild horses. Take some time to enjoy local cuisine, as it worth a try.

This was an amazing place to go! Definitely recommend going with pancho tours and doing a day trip. The waterfalls were incredible and the hike wasn't too hard. The Portuguese lunch included was interesting with a range of traditional Portuguese options but not very good for vegetarians. The horse ride was fun but not long or hard so very suitable... More

It all depends what you are used to. When you have travelled in New Zealand or Arizona, Austria or Bali, this supposed national park, with its various scrappy small towns, is not all that special. There are some quite good views down to the river or areas of water on the winding road through to the Spanish border, but I... More

One of the most places to enjoy the nature. Great places to eat and a lot to visit around. Just go to the local tourism and ask for the maps to drive around. Nice places to walk and get the best of nature. Where to stay? Go to Adere website a rent a village house... simply great!

Come visit this natural park filled with magical places. The Park tries to simultaneously encourage and control tourism, since the park's nature would not resist a massive flow of tourists. Accordingly there are six small camping sites and several hikingtrails are marked, making it relatively easy to find many of the most interesting spots, such as the castros at Castro Laboreiro... On the north of Portugal a green park with wild landscape, spectacular views over valleys and mountain peaks. Tracking is available in several paths. You can see wild horses and swim in the rivers.

The most spectacular natural park in all Portugal! you should visit it whatever the time of the year. In winter with it's white's from the snow, in spring with the reborning nature, the summer with it's freshness and te autumn with it's charming browns.

Great for Hiking, and lots of nature to see. The view from the high moutains is undescriveble. The is a lake when entering the park great for water sports. The Natural Pring Water from Spa complex "Termas do Geres" is very good for health treatments

There was no sign of a Spa in Geres, all the old buildings were closed and very run-down, and the Parque da Termas was padlocked. We cancelled our second night there and left after just a couple of hours looking round.
