Nice area to walk around. Take the tram to the tower and then walk back towards the monastery for a nice half day of exploration.

Interesting Fort with a spectacular view of the bay. Very near other attractions. Nice facilities are near by for reasonably priced good food. It is a must stop if you are visiting Lisbon.

This is an amazing small fort in a commanding position overlooking the entrance to Lisbon Harbour. It is very well preserved and well worth a visit.

That's a very interesting building. All the area around is a beautiful one. Belem's tower is a dive into the kind of 16th century atmosphere. To do.

Belem is full of Old Buildings some of which have been converted to Museums. The place is packed with tourist buses, so go early and beat the rush.

Amazing architecture in the cathedral. The general area is worth a trip out on the 15 tram (prepare to be squashed and mind your bag). It has gardens, bridge-views, a few restaurants.... Well worth a trip.

I enjoyed the view from Padrao dos Descobrimentos and the ticket cost me only 3 euro. Everything was reachable within walking distance-for me preferable than public transport.

Too crowded by tourists. Many many lines everywhere, a bit too tourist oriented and losing authenticity.

Took one of the tourist buses. Don't miss the Maritime Museum and boats and the early airplanes. Excellent cafe at the end, good food, eat outside if weather permits. Then went to the monastery itself and briefly the cathedral. Great cloister, good local exhibits, everything translated into English.

It is the most beautiful place in Lisbon with the monastery, the gardens and the banks of the Tagus river. On a good sunny day it is lovely to stroll in the gardens in the area. Several of the tourist attractions are in this place and it is flooded with tourists.
