Go and see Lisbon from the top. THe castle itself is very nice and there are beautiful peacocks all over the place.
The castle is worth a visit both for the views of Lisbon from it and for the castle itself, but the ticket is quite expensive.
If you want to see a castle like in the movies, you must visit the St George's Castle. It is worth to walk on top of the walls and climb to the towers. If you are with kids, watch out because there are not enough protection from the walls and towers. It was one of the best spots I visited...

To get there I would sugest taking a taxi, Going down is much better than climbing Mt. Everest. The views are just fantastic, Its 360 degrees of beautiful sites. There are a lot of interesting things to see when you work your way up to the top of the hill to visit St George's Castle overlooking Lisbon. We were unfortunate with our October day when it rained seriously. Somewhere to return to in better weather.
Going up is hard work but the odd look over your shoulder will spur you on to the heights of this place.
