Genuine Coimbra fado performed by some great musicians! A great introduction to the various genres, and the price is very affordable, too (10 Euro per person, and that includes a small glass of port...) Also, the musicians do their best to involve the audience--even people like ourselves with no command of Portuguese... More

I've met this place by chance, walking around the Coimbra and decided to watch the show. It lasted around 50 minutes and costed 10 Euros. It's definitely worth time and money, because of special 12 cord guitar and other classic one. Before some songs there were short historic background presented by the singer in Portuguese, English and French. There was... More

Singer and musicians are really good and, even if the audience is small, try hard to make the show as warm as possible. Beautiful interpretation of the classic song "Coimbra". Totally recommended. More

It's a very nice place, but my advice is to aske local people where do they go and if they know a specifically nice show. Show's are not allways top or at least, to better say it, they might become boaring for a non specialist. More

Coimbra is the city of "Saudade" and it's "Fado" is totally different from the one in Lisbon. The Coimbra's Fado, because Coimbra was once the Capital of Portugal, transports the soul of people to the one true heart of the nation. More

My husband and I received a flyer for Fado Ao Centro while we were wandering through the cobblestoned streets of Coimbra, so we decided to check it out. The woman working the front desk was very friendly and spoke excellent English and told us there were 2 performances coming up. The earlier one was 30 minutes for 5 euros, or... More

It's a short spectacle with Porto's wine tasting - but worth the virtuous musicians. If you are looking for something less touristic and more local at a good "price-performance" you can' t miss it! More
