Beautiful and peaceful resting place which, like all of the cemeteries, is immaculately maintained. Beauty in such sad circumstances. More

The cemetery is quite small but the situation is very picturesque overlooking the tranquil waters of the ramparts moat. As with all such cemeteries it is beautifully maintained. More

It brings together in perfect balance the architecture and horticulture for which the CWGC is rightly famous, to produce an uplifting and peaceful... More

A must when walking the city walls. Show life and death in the trenches - has a good deal of artifact from the war (from both fronts). Has a small cafe (where the entrance is) and sells a good range of beverages and food. Go see! More

A small cemetery but a beautiful peaceful place for quiet reflection on the edge of town. Combine this with a walk around the ramparts either to or from the Menin Gate. More

I was in Belgium on business but managed to call in to see some of the war grave sites as I am particularly interested in the first world war. This is a beautifully manicured cemetery set on the river bank. It is very small and peaceful and I could not think of a finer resting place for those who made... More

I picked going to Ypres because it was the site of 3 major battles of WW1 and is close to many sites I wanted to see. First, Ypres is a beautiful city and worthy of a visit if your interested in WW1 or not. I picked up a good guide 'The Ramparts Route' at the Flanders Field museum in the... More
