If you are interested in the world wars and like a day in the country, this is it. A large area of fortifications from both wars have been preserved here and the various buildings and forts have been equipped with life like figures in full uniform (dioramas). There are three different things to see at Domein Raversijde: the Prince Karel Memorial, the remaining gun emplacements of part of the North Atlantic Wall and an associated World War II museum, and the Archaeological Museum Walraversijde. We only had time to visit the latter. We got off the coastal tram at Raversijde from where signs pointed over the dunes... More
