This is a great way to see Brugge and its character. Even if you choose to do the bus tour it is still worthwhile taking a canal tour as well. Weather was cold with a littel rain but dont let that stop you.

Great tour from a unique perspective and definitely should be included in a visit to Brugge! It gives a good overview of the city and it shows how the canals were important in their early transportation. Very enjoyable! Lots to see!

In short, I'd had one day in Bruges (possibly my only day there ever - who knows) and I'd seen all of the sites that I was intending to and thought the only thing left to do was take a boat tour (which ironically was flagged up by someone else's walking tour which kind of claimed me on the walk...

Enjoyed this trip. It is very cheap, go good value, you get to see all the sites from a different perspective. Kids enjoyed a lot, especially seeing all the swans.
Our guide was a recorded one, played in 3 languages, very brief e.g. "on you left are some traditional houses"
Obviously depends on your guide, which you can't pick, but...

This tour was just long enough to get a flavour of Bruges if you havent already been for a walk around, pointing out a few areas worth visiting on foot. The 'driver' does the commentary in several different languages quickly, so you get an explanation of an area as you go. Well worth the 7.60 euros charge per adult.

This is the most touristy thing to do in a very touristy city. But it is still a must because you get a real feel for what brought the town its wealth. Boats can be very busy - but you can move on to the next landing stage if there is a queue. It may be quieter in the afternoon....

A group of us took Avalon River Cruise and stopped off in Bruges where we boarded this canal boat tour. I had someone take my travel pouch out of my handbag as we were getting off the canal boat. From what I heard, this happens all the time here while getting on and off the canal boat. Another women from...

I was really looking forward to the canal boat trip but unfortunately it did not live up the the hype. Price was reasonable at 7.40euro, we didn't have to wait long to get on the boat. The boat was very crowded and cramped , I was sat at the back of the boat right next to the engine and this...

we joined a very long queue but no problem as there are boats every few minutes and we did not have to wait very long at all. Good value as the trip is quite lengthy and you do get great views of Brugges. It made us appreciate the beauty of the place and also showed us parts to visit on...
