A good collection of Flemish paintings. When we were there they had an outstanding exhibition of Ford Maddox Brown (the godfather of the Pre-Raphaelites), mostly from English collections, that would have taken visits to numerous museums to see elsewhere. Pleasant cafe on the ground level. More

LOTS of paintings covering centuries. Could have spent all day here. only quibbles; titles were translated into other languages (including English) but not the other information. Woudl have like dot know more about some of the paintings. also, quite easy to get lost and hard to make sure we had seen everything. More

This is a must for art lovers. There is plenty to see but it is smaller than some & can be easily seen without feeling exhausted. It has some wonderful works of art & the gallery itself has an interesting shape. More

Small collection with a number of highlights and must see's. Best reason for spoiled art visitors will be the restaurant with excellent food. More

Interesting building combining modern and old. We felt that the we didn't see as much as we would have liked. There were too many modern exhibits for our liking. More

We spent a couple of hours in here. Well laid out. Well worth buying the museum pass ticket as you get into all the main sights and use on the trams ... good for 20 euro More

Apart from the permanent collection with masterpieces by Hieronymus Bosch and Géricault, there are always temporary exhibitions going on. John Constable sursprised me with his small paintings full of details. But the Museum is especially well equiped when it comes to late 19th and early 20th century art with symbolism and early expressism. Georges Minne is one of these top... More

Rather recently, this building got a serious renovation. Jeroen Bosch, Rubens, Van Dyck, Breughel, Jordaens, Hals, Géricault, Corot, Courbet, Khnopff, Minne, Ensor, van Rysselberghe, van de Woestijne, Kokoschka, van den Berghe, Permeke and Magritte are only a few of represented artists. More
