The real highlights of this great museum are the works by Hieronymous Bosch and Pieter Bruegel. It was great to see the Temptation of St. Anthony and the Rebellious Angels in the same museum.

This museum has a wonderful collection of paintings on the second floor of Dutch and Belgian masters, as well as medieval art from the area. I was very impressed by the works and only wish we would have had more time to spend at the museum. You could easily spend an entire day here to review all the pieces.

The Royaux des Beaux-Arts de Belgique (Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium) is currently in complete disarray because of ceiling damage and the Musee d’Art Moderne (part of the museum) with Van Gogh, Matisse, Dali, Chagall, Miro etc., is currently closed for renovation (until “sometime in October 2012”) although there is no signage indicating this when you purchase your...

we saw magritte exposition; that was great! Fantastic guide tour.

There's lots to see here. When I went there was a Stanley Kubrick photography exhibition; not reallmy cup of tea, a huge Magritte exhibition; my tea, coffee and wine and the Museum of fine arts: which holds some stunning work, but was long drag after the rest of it. Magritte or the bulk of the Museum are fine to tackle...

The museum is a bit old fashioned but fairly classy, though I feel an hour is more than enough before you need a coffee break. The current Kubrik exposition down below, only takes half an hour or so to get round as it's quite limited. Does give some insight, though, into his background and style-all black and white- photos and...

After paying for admission, we discovered that many exhibits were closed or moved. The staff was decidedly unhelpful, and signs were nonexistent. We spent more time trying to find art than seeing it. A great dissapointment.

Actually four museums in one, this national treasure is located in Coudenburg a section of Brussels with grand granite and marble structures reminiscent of Washington, DC. The museum was built under the guidance of King Leopold II and is a grand structure in and of itself with beautiful classic architecture. Spend hours enjoying the Flemish masters works inside the Museum....

Large collection, too much to do in the 1 1/2 hours we had before they closed for the day. Really enjoyed the Brueghels and the Bosches.

We are very much into Renaissance Nederlandische art, and this museum did not disappoint. Being great admirers of 15th century artist Rogier Van der Weyden, it was thrilling to see four of his paintings - a very rare quantity in one place.
