Good aerial view of city and neighborhoods. The series of connections between the atoms which make up this atomium will fascinate and capture children of all ages. Easy access by metro. Next door is mini-Europe (scheduled to close in August, 2013).

We only went to this because it was on our drive to our next destination. I think it is simply past its time. I can see this being amazing back when it was built but now its like touring a commodore 64. The price is around 15 dollars and that is ok. I would have paid 20 for the view....

It looked cool from the outside, unfortunately we went there on a sunday and the place was overcrowded. We did not have the time to stand in line waiting to buy tickets, and then another line waiting to get inside the tubes. My tip: Dont go there on a sunday!
This landmark is impressive for 1958 but fails to provide the same effect to nowaday's crowd. There are people who absolutely love it and there are others who fail to see what the fuss is all about. Personally, I find that there could have been done much more in terms of entertainment and information provided inside the spheres. In my...

Stopped by here on a city tour. It is an interesting building a little distance from the city center. We did not go in but stopped in the park for a photo stop. It is unique enough that people will know which city you are in by the photo alone. After the several minutes fighting the crowds for a clear...

We were very curious about this strange structure and wanted to know about it. Apart from its impressive height and its history, quite frankly as a tourist attraction it kind of lets you down. In the age of interactiveness and the internet, this is a delve straight back into the 1980's. If the expo it self had been the original...

Way too expensive for what you get. Poor exhibition, zero for kids, extreme long waiting time to go to top. Although paying 11 euros for a few staircases one even has to pay for toilets too, and wait again since there are only 2... My advice: if you are in the neighborhood just watch the outside.
Our group of five, two Belgian young adults and three Americans (9, 15 & adult) had a fun time exploring the inside of this unique monument. One of our Belgian friends drives by it every day but had never been inside it so I insisted we start our visit here! It was fun traveling up the elevator and stairs, and...

Think Jetsons... the future as envisioned in 1958. Lots of long escalators and stairwells with occasionally retro-futuristic lighting to make it look more space-age (like they envisioned spacecraft should look in the 1950s). There's an exhibit of state-of-the art achitecture (state of the art for 1958). It's high up, so there are decent views, but of what? The rest of...

The Atomium is an iconic landmark in Brussels built in 1958 for the Brussels World Fair. It is not not as iconic as the Eiffel Tower in Paris but it is pretty important in Brussels. My wife and I enjoyed our visit to the Atomium very much. We went all the way to the top and saw all the globes...
