If you are searching for a new concept of museum, go there!
First of all, I like the building, and then for only 1€ (maybe a lil more cause I had the student redux) a very interesting series of exhibitions distributed in at least 8 floors!!
It proposes a large variety of things..from the story of the city to the...

This is a truly outstanding museum! Architecturally, with its sweeping curved glass windows, it is a beautiful buidling and every time you leave the escalator to another of the 10 floors you are wowed by the view. Better yet, the exhibits are exceptionally well curated to show interesting aspects of an eclectic collection of art, history and ethnography. They have...

It was packed but I'd decided not to go to the main exhibitions as I didn't want to pay for 6 floors of Antwerp and its position in the world and history. Great collection and the best of views all over Antwerp!

Great way to learn about Antwerp, both present and past. Not the biggest museum but very nice to wander around. New technologies are used to give a visitor a "different than usual museum experience".
The MAs is located in a trendy neigbhourhood. Quite some cafés around to enjoy a nice drink after the museum visit.

This new (when I visited) museum is in an impressive new building on the banks of the river. It has an excellent collection of artifacts, from medieval weapons to ship models.
When we were there it also had a fascinating collection of ethnic art from all over the world (I think it was on loan from somewhere).

I very much like the building of the MAS and especially the terras on the top floor. Have my doubts about the quality of the exhibition.

The museum is situated in "De Eilandjes", a recently renovated harbour area. The area is worth a visit. The museum is wonderful building with a permanent exhibition and changing exhibitions. If you want to visit the exhibitions you have to buy a ticket. If you just want to visit the roof terrace and enjoy the views over Antwerpen, you don't...
