This is a beautiful museum to visit and has much to recommend it besides The Girl With The Pearl Earring.

This is a small but beautifullmuseum. The 'View on Delft' by Vermeer is by itself enough reason to vsit. Add to that the Girl with the pearl earring and you know you've got a real winner.

You can see Vermeer's famous Milkmaid painting here, as well as several Rembrandt paintings and a whole lot more. I'm not that much of an art buff, yet I loved it!

There is nothing that beats your nose right up against Rembrandts, Vermeers and other Dutch masters, including the Girl With The Pearl Earring.

The museum is closed for renovation. The Masterpieces from the Mauritshuis including Vermeer are on temporary display in the Gemeentemuseum The Hague, see: http://www.gemeentemuseum.nl/?langId=en.

Vermeer only painted 29 paintings and many are here, though he lived down the road in Delft. There are several Vermeers here, including The Girl with the Pearl Earring, a painting and luminous and breathtaking today as she was 400 years ago.
The art here is a world treasure and you should not miss it.

This art museum is just the right size for taking kids for an introduction to art. The variety of art works will allow them to pick favorites. The building itself is beautiful for those that also like historic sites.

This museum was one of the nicer ones I have been too. Not incredibly crowded, especially considering that Vermeer's "Girl with the Pearl Earring" is there. The audio tour was free and very comprehensive. The palace alone is a sight to see! I would highly recommend this as the destination to see paintings of the Dutch Golden Age if you...

It's just a small museum, but all the wall are covered with the best Dutch masters, Don't waste your time in Rijksmuseum but visit the Mauritshuis instead..

If you love Vermeer, you have to go here. His "View of Delft" and "The Girl With the Pearl Earring" are here. But there are other treasures in this museum also, too numerous to get into.
