I was in Rotterdam for a few hours last November and as my time was limited this place was like having a tour of the landmarks. It's also very close to the train station, so very convenient. The Dutch are very good at creating miniature environments and this place is no exception.

We didn't really find this worth the money we paid. 22 euros for 2 adults and 1 child! It is really just a massive miniature train set, not really our cup of tea!! Very very welcoming staff and clean toilets.

If you like trains this place is fine. For the kids they have a puzzle where they have to look up partiucular parts (or the snowmen during winter) which will keep them busy. The lights are on a day-night schedule and you can actually ask stuff to the people who are working there.

The biggest surprise, we had so much fun during our visit. There are so many details and everyday situations: its like street view but with toys:) In every house something is going on, on every street, boat, construction site, harbor...it was so much fun finding strange and funny situations!

My wife suggested we went here and i didn't know what to expect. There is parking directly next door and this area of rotterdam is having some severe roadworks going on. I suggest you combine this with a bit of shopping as it takes about 1 hour to 1 and a half hours. Basically its a really large minature train... More

Railz Miniworld is setup near Rotterdam Central railway station. This seems to be a good location for the purpose, as the main feature of Railz is the immense miniature setup of trains and rails, which depict some key features of the Rotterdam region, such as the harbours with their terminals, the landmark bridges and new developments such as the high-speed... The best part of model train sets are the little jokes the creaters put in; figurines in absurd or illogical or obscene situations. These "Easter eggs" are really what makes it worth it, unless you're actually just really into the mechanics of model trains. Every 24 minutes constitutes a "day" and the lights even fade to pink from east to... More

Visited the Miniworld today. It's a great attraction. Kids will love it! Everything is so detailed it's unbelievable. Don't forget to peek into all the different buildings. There's a lot going on inside too!

Huge diorama of Rotterdam city with all those small cars, rails, houses. Everything so small, everything moving around. Great fun for everybody (not cheap) There is a place you can buy food as well. It was improved since I have been there - more attactions (more railz and bigger diorama)
