This mausoleum is a baroque masterpiece from the 1600s and well worth seeing. Find out the history too, to understand why Willem of Orange is important to Dutch history.
Not being Dutch I expected a better telling of the history of William of Orange, given this is his final resting place. I would suggest enjoy the view from outside and save your euro for other locations.
Great place to visit. They have a great pamphlet with a lot of history about both OUDE and NIEUWE church. Don't forget that if you buy tickets for one church - keep the receipt and don't buy tickets at the other church (like we did...oops!) They have a sign out front and everything - but we didn't read the fine...

I like historical tours. This is excellent. The site is preserved well and I like that they way they adapted the church from a Catholic to a Protestant house of worship. I wish there was an audio tour to help with the appreciation of the art and historical significance of the site.
Facing the Town Hall across a good sized square this is a must visit. The monuments inside and the beautiful stained glass are something to remember. What we were not very happy with was the state of vermeer's tombstone and the fact that there is nothing to distinguish this great artist's resting place from any other.
It was the second time visiting Delft and this church. It was as exciting as the first time, discovering new architectural details and pieces of information.
The church is ok, with the royal grave and some exibits, but the main attacktion here is the church tower, giving a great view of the entire city of Delft. For the best weather and furthest views, an early visit is advisable.
the church is quiet and very impressive.Of course there are many visitors, but on Sunday you can visit the mass and then enjoy the music and the God celebration.
William of Orange is buried here. Grand cathedral type structure. YOu can go up the tower for great views of the city and surroundings. However, whilst it is impressive I think there are much more impressive cathedrals in Europe.
