Amsterdam is known for its beautiful buildings and this one is no exception. On the inside I was really impressed by the stonework and artwork. I didn' t get to tour the whole building as I was actually there for an event with the Royal Family, and was able to shake hands with our new King Willem Alexander, his wife... More

This palace is located in Dam square. Unfortunately did not get to go inside as it was closed on Memorial Day. However it is nonetheless a beautiful building to admire from the outside.

One floor, 30 min look at yet another European palace. You do get free audio tour but not worth 10 euros. Ok if you have a Museumkaart (note: not included on I Amsterdam Card).

This building is beautiful, such great detail into the stone work and just looks in it's place. When we were visiting there were a lot of police round about the building because the royal family were going to be arriving however after waiting so long we decided to leave but it was nice to see such a big and beautiful... This tour provides great perspective on the power and riches of Amsterdam when New Amsterdam (NYC) was founded. The palace is gorgeous and displays beautiful artwork. The map of the world inlaid into the floor of the grand gallery is fascinating. The free audio tour is very informative. It provides a great deal of information on how the government operated... The palace tour is interesting. When we visited, there was a carnival in town, set up right outside the palace entrance, which gave a more surreal feel to the formality of a palace. It sounds like the palace is only used for formal state functions, not as an actual residence for the royal family so this is a rather unique... More

When visiting, use the audio tour. The rooms are opulent and the history is very interesting. I would avoid going in most of the touristy shops that surround this amazing building.

We visisted the palace on a Saturday afternoon and found no line. We purchased our tickets, collected our complimentary audio guides, and dropped off our backpack and coats at the cloakroom. The audio guide was very informative and easy to use - you simple aim the reader on guide at the marked plaques throughout the tour and it starts the... More

What a wonderful last day in Amsterdam. We arrived at lunch time and thankfully a good cloakroom took charge of hand luggage. We walked round the magnificent building listening to a very informative audio recording (many languages to chose from). Free to wander in to each room and could go round again. Some silly people not listening to what was... More

Last week I spent an hour in Royal Palace in Amsterdam. it’s worth visiting. However, the queue was quite long at the time of buying entrance ticket. Visitors are not allowed to take handbags. So, there was another queue in bags deposit section. The visit was enjoyable as I took audio guide from downstair.
