This is a window shopping heaven and you can easiy spend half a day just walking around! Do take some time to visit this place, however if you are running short of time this is not a place to tick off your "been there" list.

People frequently ask: "Where are 'de Negen Straatjes?".These 9 little streets are intersected by the Prinsengracht, Keizergracht, Herengracht & Singel and bordered by Raidhuisstraat in the north & Leidsegracht to the south. All 9 streets have their own names- (see link). It's a fun area for shopping or browsing - lots of cute little shops & restaurants(not overloaded with chain...

Remember when shops were tiny? This place has so many niche shops and you are sure to find something unique. I was in awe of the vintage clothes!
This area has lost a bit of its original attraction because due to the popularity of the 9 streets rents have increased dramatically, mostly allowing only chain stores or quite expensive ones to settle here. For a pleasant stroll along picturesque streets with a variety of nice shops, restaurants and cafés, this is a fairly central and compact area in Amsterdam.
Lots of individual clothes / accessories shops, with Dutch flair, not just for tourists, a real community of small shops you get in all cities, but also with good cafes / lunch spots and Located on the most beautiful canals. Stroll happily, and indulge the children at Pancakes Amsterdam. If you're not staying in this area, worth a visit, maybe...

this is what I love when doing city trips: tasting the local atmosphere by wandering in small streets. De Negen straatjes has it all: great boutiques of fashion, decoration, flowers, nice objects, bars ... Don't miss de Negen Straatjes!
Lovely area to walk around casually. Interesting little shops, pubs and cages with lovely buildings. need to spend some time. On the expensive side.
many cute little shops or more boutiques. nice to walk arround and just watch all the people walking arround
Our hotel was very close by Negen Straatjes. You will find several vintage shops, but also good bakeries and several clothes-stores. Great!
