The Museumplein is a great open area where you can take in some great views of some of the main museums and a great picture opportunity with the I Amsterdam sign in front of the Rijksmuseum and the Concertgebouw. A beautiful area of green space and culture. Hosts the van Gogh, Rijksmuseum, Concertgebouw, Diamond stores and P.C Hoofstraat.. what more could you want? It's great to enjoy the culture, the shopping, and just get a taste of Amsterdam in this relaxed neighborhood. More

Didn't actually go to any of the museums, but the area is nice. looking. Lawns are ideal for sitting in the sun, and maybe having a picnic or a rest. Worth it just to go take pictures with the big I AMsterdam letters. Found it a challenge just to get up on the E properly... but Im pretty short. But... More

City seems to struggle as to how make this huge square attractive for visitors but sofar without success. I always feel a bit 'lost' when I have to cross it. Of course, you have the Van Gogh museum and Concertgebouw there so that compensates. More
