The museum had IMO a good and interesting emphasis on how we can learn from the past and how we can avoid it in the future so history does not repeat itself. There were so many accounts from many survivors. In that respect it was different than Therezin. More

We did visit this National Memorial. So difficult to go through and read the stories and see the photos. Very very well presented. Not sensationalized in anyway. As we were in the area for Dutch language learning, but had not started it yet, I would have enjoyed a little more in English, but this is why we are learning Dutch.... More

Much of the original site of this camp has gone, and the monument is largely re- constructed, but well worth a visit. The monument offers a range of profoundly moving exhibits. There are a number of recordings of memories recounted by survivors. Ingeniously, one has to stand beneath a prison hat to hear each story. One can't help but empathise... More

Visited in July, 2011. we were with a biking group and made a stop here. The tour guide was wonderful and the experience very moving. This is a concentration camp outside Den Bosch, Netherlands. It was originally opened to hold Dutch resistance fighters. The original fencing, watch towers, crematorium, etc. are intact. Later on it was filled with Jews that... More
