I was part of a group of approx 60 people in 20 low value cars who made the trip across the Furka Pass recently. Our journey started near Aylesbury, England and finished in Monaco. The purpose of the trip was to raise funds for the well know charity Help for Heroes. We raised almost £30,000 between us! The views from... More

Go in September after the holiday rush. Open roads all to yourself. Don't go too late as the snow can come in and close the road, and give yourself plenty of time to stop and take in views. Visit the Rhone Glacier opposite the hotel and walk inside the glacier for CHF7. We drove from Chur along the 19 then... More

We had perfect weather on the day we traversed Furka Pass. Absolutely spectacular scenery down the valley toward Brig. Climbing higher back and forth on the switchbacks we started to get a glimpse of the Rhone Glacier. At the top is a magnificent overlook that usually attracts a crowd. From there you can look down onto Grimsel Pass and feel... More

A long train through a loooooong dark tunnel. Not for the claustrophobic!! We took this train mid day on a Thursday in February and had no wait, but I understand the queues can be bad on the weekends.

We took this trip by car going up the hills by many zigzag roads. Stopping at some spots we had some wonderful photos. lakes are everywhere and the greeny nature is just magnificent. Some people were hiking and some were biking, the last activity I find very hard considiring the angle of the roads climbing the mountains. If you had this... More

Best and most spectacular pass I have driven in my life! Treat yourself and do it. Not for somebody with a fear of heights. (Passengers will sit next to the exposed areas)

This was by far the most beautiful drive ever. Great scenery, cute villages to stop in for a coffee or a bite and amazing places to park safely and enjoy breathtaking views of the Alps. A must do if you are in the area! Be very very careful when driving; the view can be very distracting at times! Definitely worth... More

The Furka Pass forms part of the 3 passes route along with the Grimsel and Susten passes. On a clear, sunny August day I could have spent forever driving the hairpin festooned mountain roads. Absolutely breathtaking views around every corner (there are LOTS of corners!) I was in the region for 4 days and 3 of those were spent on... More

After 47 years in waiting (GOLDFINGER U.A. Released 11/1964) today was the day I finally got to see, drive & explore the Furka Pass. For GOLDFINGER nuts this is the ultimate. It only to me about 10 minutes out of Realp to find the spot where Bond was jumped w/ Tilly's off target bullit. The best was climbing up the... More
