The main station of Luzern is well connected by trains to all the tourist destinations of Switzerland. The bus station is just outside with buses to all parts of Luzern city. The station has many eateries like Burger King and Bachman. It has many shops and the Coop Supermarket.

Flat access to all platforms from the street outside. Very good and clear signage... but largely in German only... wake up to the world, Switzer-Deuch! Excellent ticket office below, next to the main tour booking office. Helpful staff and as usual the Swiss trains are clean efficient and on time.

Lucerne station's biggest attribute is that it is central. A short walk out the front and you have the lake boats, the Chapel Bridge and whatever ground transportation you fancy. But, in Lucerne, you can practically walk to anything. Like other train stations there's a mall underneath with groceries (Coop, our home away from home) and a selection of eateries.... More

Station is in a very handy location to everything you would want to come to Lucerne for. Ferry, boat tours, city centre, covered bridge, lake side restaurants, traveling around the country. We also had 2 seniors with us, one in a wheel chair and we found it very easy (considering) to get around on the trains, boats and touring around.... More

I commute and generally avoid Luzern if I can, as it is, for commuting, yet another crowded station. However, on Sundays or holidays when you need some food or something, there are plenty of shops open, three food stores (MIgros, small, ok, no alcohol; Coop, bigger, good selection, lousy new check out system, a third small shop, a bit pricy)... More

Huge place, with lots of shops. Information center were friendly. Don't use taxi if you traveling nearby as the rate could be very expensive.

Great place to pick up a bottle of wine, other shopping needs, and the best baked pretzels!!! Try the ones coated with roasted pumpkin seeds!

Easy station to work out how to get around and many trains across Switzerland with fast connections to Zurich and easy links to the mountains near by. A few places to eat also and clean/safe
